Esplanada Rosa Apartment

BUILT

BRASILIA-DF, 2025

This apartment project was developed for a couple consisting of a doctor and a designer. The property was delivered by the construction company without finishes, which allowed us to carry out a complete renovation without wasting material from a previous demolition.

Their main guideline was to have an airy, functional, and easy-to-maintain apartment. Based on this, we opted for a lean and cohesive material palette. The continuous monolithic flooring, including the bathrooms, eliminates visual transitions and reinforces the feeling of unity and spaciousness. The choice also simplifies cleaning and helps to highlight the decorative pieces.
Cross ventilation was valued in the organization of the rooms and openings. The layout favors air circulation and the entry of natural light, reinforcing the idea of a fluid and light space.

The kitchen is integrated into the living room, and next to it, a large white grooved panel organizes and disguises the different accesses and functional elements of the space. The frieze design allows for the accommodation of doors of varying dimensions, such as those for the refrigerator, freezer, cabinets, pantry, main entrance, and powder room, creating a single continuous plane. The panel conceals the variations in scale between these elements and creates a uniform surface that reinforces the continuity between the living room and kitchen spaces.

All exposed pipes were carefully redesigned and repositioned, considering criteria of functionality, rationalization of routes, and visual composition. In addition, the pipes from the upper unit were also integrated into the design, respecting existing standards, but with adaptations to ensure a clean and coherent design language.
